About the event
Join me, Hazen Audel, on a Sawtooth Hiking Adventure where you’ll learn survival skills, explore the stunning nature of the Sawtooth Mountains, and become part of an awesome community of like-minded adventurers. It’s a unique opportunity to challenge yourself, gain new knowledge, and immerse yourself in the beauty of the great outdoors.
- Base camp will be about 5400 feet and our hike will be along the river. We will camp along the river once we reach our destination - expect about a 4-hour hike on day 2 to our river campsite. You will want to train on some hikes before attending. Day 1 will be in tents by the lodge, and nights 2 and 3 will be in the wilderness.
- We will provide transportation to and from the lodge from Boise, Idaho. Attendees are expected to provide their accommodations at the arrival point. Be ready by 11 am on the 29th. The location for the meet-up will be downtown Boise, the exact location is TBD.
- Food and cooking supplies included.

- Day 1: arrive at the lodge, and sleep in the meadow.
- Day 2: hike to and camp at the new wilderness camp.
- Day 3: hang. learn. be.
- Day 4: hike back, and drive to Boise, Idaho.
TRAVEL TIMING
- If needed we will provide transportation to and from the lodge from Boise, Idaho. Attendees are expected to provide their travel and accommodations before arriving at the rendezvous. Expect a late morning pick up (11am) and evening drop-off (evening of Aug 1st - or you can stay at the lodge/campsite). The location and time for the meet-up will be downtown Boise, at the Capital (In front, grassy park area - 700 W Jefferson St, Boise, ID 83702).
- If you are driving yourself, please meet between 1-3pm at The Sawtooth Lodge (Forest Rd 700, Lowman, ID 83637)
- Lunch provided day 1.
* Parking, bathroom, and showers are available on days 1 and 4 of our trip. To learn more about other amenities and fun adventures like trail rides, hot springs, fishing, accomadations, and more go to Sawtooth Lodge.

* A deposit reserves your spot. Full payment is due 60 days before the event or by June 1st. Any sign ups after June 1st need to payed in full.

PACKING
*PACK LIGHT! Our guides will find our campsite on the trail and will have access to some tents & tarps incase of rain. If you have a favored tent, feel free bringing it. The goal is to get comfortable in nature and get some good "DIRT TIME".
* Pack mules will be there to carry your main supplies (you pack your day pack with food, water, and items needed for 4+ Hour hike).
* We will provide: Lifestraw (you will be drinking from the river), mora knife, and some fire starting materies (Stuff we will be training and learning to use).
* There will be an area (base camp) for storing extra gear and travel supplies (so you can pack light on the way up).
